Over the new wave sheen of synths and fuzzed-out guitars, the former MS MR singer belts out a knowing ode to the act of falling in love for love’s sake.
“Caught, caught up in the habit/I’ve never wanted what I’m chasing but always having to have it/And I’m al-always chasing the magic/But I can’t seem to grab it ‘cuz I don’t deserve to have it,” she sings dreamily, a punchy kick-snare propelling the song toward the chorus.
